Why does my new single-coil wiring job not work?
I installed the Samarium-Cobalt-Noiseless pickups in my mexican strat, and the Tone Knob isnt responsive when the Bridge Pickup is deployed. everything else works normal (i definitely suggest these pickups… sound great!)
the only thing i can think of is that there is a capacitor connecting the Two Tone knows together, and its not on the wiring diagram giving by fender. otherwise the wiring diagram completely matches what i did, and the solders are all clean. help!!
No your right> I’ve had the same exact problem with mine. Uninstal the hardware and take it back, tell them the problem and ask for the wiring diagrams for the guitar you have. MAKE them show you how to wire it up the right way. I did it and I was very angry when I came back to the music shop. I made them instal the new pick up’s and all onto my old guitar for free. Just be persuasive brother. Fight for your rights my man. Later hommie
